    The School is seeking to appoint a senior research Professor in Aerospace Engineering of international standing. The position will take up a research leadership role in the School by bringing together relevant junior staff and research fellows that have been recruited in this or related fields in recent years.

    To be considered for this opportunity you will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and have an internationally recognised research track record in the field of Aerospace Engineering. This will be evidenced by high quality publications, HDR student completions and competitive research funding. You will have demonstrated experience in being able to negotiate, plan, develop and successfully implement strategic large scale projects and win national and international research funding.

    The Associate Professor in Aerospace Engineering is expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching and research efforts in Aerospace Engineering especially in the area of aerospace manufacturing and 3D printing. The Associate Professor will be required to participate in the academic activities of the School and the College and to pursue a program of professional development consistent with the strategic goals of the School.

    As the successful candidate, you will possess a PhD in a relevant discipline area with a background in Aerospace Manufacturing or other relevant Engineering discipline. You will have proven ability to prepare and win competitive research grants with industry and have demonstrated experience in supervising PhD research students. In addition, you will have proven expertise in 3D printing applied in aerospace manufacturing.

The Senior Lecturer will make a significant contribution to the teaching and research efforts in the Aerospace and Aviation discipline especially in at least one of the following areas: Aircraft and Aviation Systems, Aviation Safety Systems, Avionics and Air Traffic Management, and Human Factors in Aviation.

    In order to be considered for this opportunity you must possess a PhD in a relevant discipline as well as a proven record of academic or professional achievement in one or more of the designated areas listed above.
